Baltimore Ravens Football Online
The founding of the Baltimore Ravens football team dates back to 1995. Ravens owner Art Modell made the decision to relocate his Cleveland franchise to Baltimore, and as part of a deal between the NFL and the city of Cleveland, the Browns name and history were to remain in Cleveland and the Ravens were established as a new expansion team in the NFL.
M & T Bank Stadium is the home stadium of the Baltimore Ravens and it opened in 1998. M & T Bank Stadium currently seats 71,008. The Baltimore Ravens are a member of the American Football Conference of the National Football League and compete in the AFC North Division.
The Ravens name is inspired by Edgar Allan Poe and his poem The Raven. Poe lived and died in Baltimore, the city for whom he is immortally connected.
The Baltimore Ravens have experienced great success on the field in a short amount of time having won two Super Bowls, the first one in 2000, and second in 2012.
