The history of the Cincinnati Bengals dates back to 1967 when Paul Brown was granted a franchise for the city of Cincinnati to be the tenth and final team in the American Football League just before the merger with the NFL. Paul Brown was the longtime coach and namesake of the Cleveland Browns. The Cincinnati Bengals are currently owned by Mike Brown, son of the founder.

Paul Brown Stadium is the home of the Cincinnati Bengals and it opened in 2000. Paul Brown Stadium currently seats 65,535 fans. The Cincinnati Bengals are a member of the American Football Conference of the National Football League and compete in the AFC North Division. The Bengals have won two AFC Championships and lost two Super Bowls, XVI and XXIII, to the San Francisco 49ers. The Bengals main rivals are, naturally, the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
